Dr. William M. Dang, Jr. was born in New Orleans and grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii. He received his medical degree, Internal Medicine training and Cardiology Fellowship at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He returned to Honolulu, starting his private cardiology practice in 1985. He currently has hospital privileges at The Queen's Medical Center, Kuakini Medical Center, Pali Momi Medical Center, and Wahiawa General Hospital.
Dr. Dang presently serves as the Chair for the Hawaii Get with the Guidelines - CHF, and Co-Chair for GWTG - CAD. He is on the clinical faculty for the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine and serves on the Board of Directors for the Oahu American Heart Association and the Hawaii Health Information Corporation.
